Originating in Cuba, Montecristo Cigars is now distributed in the U.S. and manufactured by hand in the Dominican Republic. The Montecristo Cigars Dominican version debuted in the United States in 1995, during the peak of the cigar boom. As one of the most recognizable names in cigars, this newer Montecristo Cigars Dominican version lives up the prestigious reputation set forth decades ago, combining an enticing aroma with flawless construction. This cigar is an icon in the cigar industry. Considered one of the finest cigars on the market, the Montecristo Cigars is blended for the true connoisseur. Montecristo Cigars are medium bodied with a moderate finish. It is a medium to full bodied cigar with a sweet aroma and impeccable construction. The name is reported to have been inspired by Alexandre Dumas' 1844 novel Le Comte de Montecristo.
