Brand Description: |
Fuente Opus X is unarguably the rarest cigar and most sought after cigars in the world. The Fuente Opus X cigar marks 30 years of tradition and is one of the Dominican Puro's produced in the world. Which consists of the filler, binder, and wrapper all being produced in the Dominican Republic, which is something that is extremely hard to do. There are a plethora of different shapes and sizes of Fuente Opus X cigars that were made in limited quality. The regular Fuente Opus X line is almost just as hard to get your hands on. Retailing at above thirty dollars a stick, most who question the quality of an Fuente Opus X cigar have yet to try one. Because of the Fuente family's deep rooted tradition to never rush the hands of time, the Fuente Opus X is released sparingly. The Fuente Opus X cigars are consistently ranked among the world's finest. With such a high demand for the Fuente Opus X, they are extremely rare and often hard to find. There is no other cigar like Fuente's Opus X, it is truely a unique experience that can't be found anywhere else.
Fuente Opus X cigars have a silky, Rosado wrapper that is grown on Fuente’s organic tobacco plantation, Chateau de la Fuente. Located in a remote region in the Dominican Republic, this tobacco farm is situated in a tropical river valley, which makes for ideal growing conditions. In the early 1990's, when the Fuente family began planting their first crop of this exquisite wrapper, there were many skeptics in the cigar industry who thought it couldn’t be done. There had been many previous attempts to grow such a wrapper in the Dominican Republic, and all had failed. The Fuente family knew what they were doing, and they achieved the impossible. The original name for the tobacco crop was Project X, and the Fuente family chose the word Opus to describe the unique wrapper. The word opus resonated with Carlos Fuente Jr. because he stated that, “...the word ‘opus’- meaning creative work, masterpiece, a work of a life time. It was perfect.”
Fuente Opus X cigars are medium-full bodied cigars, and although strong, are not overpowering. They are very smooth cigars that can be described as having hints of spice, but an overall creaminess to them. Fuente Opus X has a small hint of spice, with a rich and robust flavor. If you have never tried a Fuente Opus X and they are in stock, you better get one. This is the cigar that should be on your things to do before you die list. Ask someone who has had one, they probably wrote "try again" on their list.
